About Think Business, Think Hong Kong 2026
Think Business, Think Hong Kong is a signature promotion organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in overseas markets, showcasing Hong Kong as a dynamic business and innovation hub that helps global businesses capture new demand and realise opportunities worldwide.
Responding to rising demand among ASEAN companies looking to expand into Asian and global markets, HKTDC will stage the campaign at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 11 August 2026. The day brings together business leaders from Hong Kong and Malaysia for a full-day symposium covering financial synergies, innovation and technology partnerships, and green-innovation-led sustainability. A by-invitation Networking Luncheon with senior officials and business leaders from both markets will run alongside it.
A Look Back: A Decade-Plus of Connecting Markets
Since its launch in 2011, “Think Business, Think Hong Kong” has helped strengthen Hong Kong’s business ties with countries including Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, France, Italy, Canada, and the United States. Each stop brings a delegation of Hong Kong business leaders, investors, and innovators to meet local enterprises and explore Hong Kong’s role as a gateway between ASEAN, the Chinese Mainland, and global markets.

With Malaysia standing out as one of ASEAN’s most dynamic economies, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area offering further scope for collaboration, the session will explore how businesses on both sides can deepen trade, investment, and innovation ties.
