IFBA Roundtable – 3rd Edition
The International Food & Beverage Association (IFBA), in collaboration with the Hospitality Alliance Singapore (HAS), returns for its third edition at SIGEP Asia with a timely and critical theme: From Globalisation to a Multipolar Reality — How Economics, Supply Chains, Technology, and Consumer Behaviour Are Reshaping Hospitality & F&B.
The roundtable confronts a reality that the industry can no longer ignore: the sector is not adjusting to a temporary post-pandemic cycle, but to a structural shift in the global economic system. Economic power, production capacity, and influence are now distributed across multiple centres — and hospitality and F&B, sitting at the intersection of global trade and local consumption, are among the first sectors to feel this transformation.
Key themes to be explored include:
- Economic Reset – Why cost pressure from food, energy, logistics, and labour is now a structural baseline, not a cyclical anomaly, and how operators must adopt dynamic margin management and flexible pricing frameworks in response
- Supply Chain: From Efficiency to Resilience – The shift from global, lowest-cost sourcing to regional, reliability-first models, and why supply chain is now a strategic and brand function, not merely a procurement one
- Technology as Enabler – Where technology adds genuine strategic value in demand forecasting, labour scheduling, and inventory control — and where over-automation risks undermining hospitality culture
- Changing Guest Behaviour – How value-conscious, information-literate guests are demanding clarity, authenticity, and transparency over complexity and prestige
- Labour and Leadership Reset – Why scaling through headcount is no longer sustainable, and what future-ready leadership looks like in a multipolar, volatile operating environment
Crucially, the roundtable also highlights the stabilising role of ASEAN’s regional integration — through the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and CPTPP — as a counterbalance to global fragmentation. For operators across the region, this integration offers more predictable ingredient sourcing, stronger supply networks, and improved investment confidence across member states.
The session is designed not as a panel of presentations or trend theatrics, but as grounded, practical dialogue — bridging chefs, suppliers, operators, and investors in honest, experience-based discussion that translates global shifts into operational clarity.
SIGEP Sessions
A curated programme of talks and live demonstrations featuring the region’s most renowned chefs, sharing insights and inspiration with both industry professionals and food enthusiasts alike.

SIGEP Asia 2026 will feature top chefs in their respective fields as Brand Ambassadors, promoting culinary excellence and highlighting opportunities for brand sponsorships across the event’s key programme pillars.
IEG XP – The Visitor Experience Programme
The IEG Visitor Xperience (IEG XP) offers all attendees exclusive added value beyond the show floor, including special dining deals and hotel rates across Singapore — making the trip to SIGEP Asia 2026 an experience that extends well beyond the exhibition halls.
